Whites Creek history, briefly
- Aug 16, 1984 The Whites Creek Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (ref #84003530) — 31 nomination photos document the pike's 19th-century buildings. (NPGallery; Davidson Co. NRHP list)
- May 2010 The record flood. Whites Creek crests at its highest recorded level; Bordeaux, at the bottom of the watershed, takes the brunt. More than 560 landslides are later mapped, mostly within the forest's steep slopes. (FEMA photo record 2010; track-e constraints)
