D1United is a resident-run civic clearinghouse for Nashville’s northwest — Bordeaux, Whites Creek, Joelton, Scottsboro, and Bells Bend. It exists so that within two clicks a neighbor can answer: what is changing, why it matters, who is involved, what meetings are coming, where to get help, what organizations exist, what events are happening, and how to participate before decisions are final.
How we handle facts
- Every published number carries its source. Tap the ⓘ on any stat.
- Verification is visible. Directory listings show whether we confirmed them; quiet organizations are marked, never deleted.
- “Per local sources” means exactly that — a fact from district knowledge we’ll upgrade to a citation the moment one exists.
- Corrections are dated, never silent. See an error? Post in the Facebook group or use the event form on the calendar page and mark it “correction.”
Boundary note
The State may compel a smaller Metro Council, which would redraw District 1. This site is built around places, not lines — and every district-dependent number lives in one data file we can recompute in an afternoon.
