Why we watch

Bells Bend has beaten outsized projects before — the Spicewood landfill proposal, Bells Landing (2006), May Town Center (2009). The district’s “no” was always selective: residents co-wrote a Detailed Design Plan with Metro Planning in 2007–08 that says what yes should look like. When the county’s largest supply of big parcels meets the county’s lowest average parcel values, watching the Development Tracker is simply due diligence.
